catching the fall

Yesterday, by the end of the day, I had written a song in my head with a chorus that sang "I have cold feet and it is too late." My country ballad. No going back.

But then today happened.

Oscar tested into the immersion school, we met new people at the local coffee shop @factorycoffee who were midwesterners turned west coasters turned midwesterners again. The sun was shining and we played in the field behind my mom's house. Of course, we still have days ahead of us of painting and finding some magical way of ridding of the old, musty smell in the new house. I am traumatized by the packing and moving with four kids and can't bear the thought of unpacking with them around and Greg has yet to find a job. Oh, but there was today.
