About me

KaraMSound2023-209_websize_edited.jpg

A seeker by nature, I  laughed when sound therapy found me (and not vice versa), shortly after returning to my  home state of Michigan after nearly 20 years away.

Universe, you are hilarious.

I’m a retreat and circle facilitator, sound practitioner, event planner, writer, and mom of many (okay, four) with over six years of experience guiding individuals and groups into deep rest and nervous system regulation through sound. Since beginning my formal training in 2019 with Wind Willow Sound Health, sound work has become both my practice and my devotion—woven through private sessions, group immersions, retreats, and collaborative wellness offerings.

I am the Co-Founder of The Origami House, a former house of worship transformed into a space for reflection, restoration, and transformation. My work blends intuition with structure, shaped by a background in event and experience planning that allows me to hold containers with clarity, care, and ease.

My sound offerings incorporate tuning forks, Tibetan and crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other resonant instruments. I am certified in the Peter Hess® Sound Massage Technique, an evidence-based approach that supports both individual and group sessions.

I serve as a junior board member of the Wind Willow Consortium and have shared sound experiences with universities, schools, community organizations, and wellness programs throughout Michigan and beyond.

I offer individual sessions in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and travel for group immersions, retreats, and special events across the U.S. and Mexico.

Group and private sound immersions are available by request.
